Career Resources continues to be a leader in supporting people with disabilities and other challenges. In addition to increasing the number of people with development disabilities that we support, CRC has also recently begun to support people with brain injuries and our military veterans.
After moving to our new location in 2011, CRC experienced significant growth in our Day and Employment Programs. To accommodate this growth we renovated our facility adding expanded vocational training space, two new program rooms, three new bathrooms, and added a rowing machine, leg press, universal weights and elliptical machines to the exercise room.
CRC is expanding its residential services throughout the Merrimack Valley. We have recently started supporting four gentlemen to live in a group setting in Salisbury, MA. The program was developed to assist these men to transition out of long term care facilities and hospital settings into the community. This new group presents with different abilities and challenges because they are all survivors of brain injuries. They have helped us to realize that our lives can change drastically at any moment, limiting our abilities in different ways. However, our hopes and dreams always remain fully intact. We are humbled to be a part of their journeys as they develop new strengths to build on old dreams and create the lives they want.
CRC is also proud to support local veterans in returning to the workforce. In collaboration with the Veteran’s Northeast Outreach Center in Haverhill, CRC has been assisting several veterans with disabilities in their efforts to become employed.
Your donation will help CRC continue to provide the highest quality of services available and continue to start innovative and needed services in our community.
Thank you for your past, present and future support of our mission.
