In-Home Support Services (IHS)


This program supports people in their own homes/apartments who require less than 24/7 supervision. Weekly support hours vary greatly depending on a person’s assessed needs. Supports are flexible and designed to encourage the greatest amount of independence with daily tasks, while still providing a safety net when needed.

CRC staff assist individuals to manage the following activities to support them to remain as independent as possible:

  • Nutrition Planning and Grocery shopping
  • Meal planning
  • Medical Appointments
  • Medication monitoring, self-medication oversight and management
  • Health and safety monitoring
  • Attending community events
  • Representative payee, budgeting, banking, money management
  • Transportation
  • ADL skills
  • Social integration/education
  • Maintaining their homes
  • Problem solving skills
  • Leisure activities
  • Navigation of legal issues
  • Accessing community resources
